Dunstan published a uniform rule for the monasteries of this nation,entitled, Regularis Concordiae Anglicae Nationis, extant in Reyner, andSpelman, (in Spicilegio ad Eadmerum, p. aiting for his answer, commanded him to be puton the rack and torn with iron hooks, to oblige him to a discovery.
He had indeed a little hut,covered with goat skins, to shelter him from the inclemencies of theweather; but he very seldom made use of it for that purpose, even on themost urgent occasions.
